Growing together.The Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) in the Allergy Department will work under the guidance of the Chief of the department to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care. The PA/NP will conduct comprehensive patient consultations, assessments, and diagnostic testing, including skin tests, food challenges, hives, and test conferences. They will also manage both in-person and telemedicine visits, ensuring accurate and timely documentation of patient records. Additionally, the PA/NP will collaborate with the broader healthcare team to develop and implement effective treatment plans for patients with various allergic conditions.

Required Qualifications:
- Certification through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP), American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), or the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
- Current Licensure through the Texas Board of Nurse Examiners OR Licensed Physician Assistant by the Texas State Medical Board
- 1+ years of clinical experience as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner preferably in allergy, asthma, immunology, or a related field
- Driver's License and access to a reliable transportation
Preferred Qualifications:
- Conversationally fluent in Spanish
- Proficiency in performing and interpreting skin prick tests, spirometry, and other diagnostic allergy tests. Experience in managing allergic conditions such as asthma, food allergies, hives, eczema, allergic rhinitis, and anaphylaxis
The salary range for this role is $104,500 to $156,000 annually based on full-time employment. Salary Range is defined as total cash compensation at target. The actual range and pay mix of base and bonus is variable based upon experience and metric achievement. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
